Calendar alignment

Post by XereX » Thu Feb 04, 2010 10:55 pm

The .calDot , time and calendar event is not perfectly aligned.

I have managed to align the .Caldot to a better alignment, but can not figure out how to align the time and calendar event text better. Some kind of top margin is set, hmpf!

Heres my change to the CSS, to a better alignment:

.calDot {
display: block;
width: 8px;
height: 8px;
background: #CCCCCC;
-moz-border-radius: 4px;
-webkit-border-radius: 4px;
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
position: relative;
left: -38px;
top: 10px;
}

For which version is this?
Is it the latest beta version or one of the public versions?

Its the latest. Checkout the screenshot to see what I am talking about.

The red dot is not totally visible, and the time stamps are a bit moved down in relation to the event text.

Checkout the red line, its quite out of alignment:

Ahh, that's the same problem I have but noone else had :-D
I didn't go through the CSS myself yet but indeed this looks a bit better.
Only the times need to be moved up a little now :)

Yep the times needs to be adjusted up, and the dots needs a lot of adjustment.
I tried to reduce the topmargin with 10px, that helped, but could not locate the top margin for the time column. Any idea where to look ?

And forgot to tell.
The screenshots above is the default CSS file, nothing is adjusted at that moment.

In the version before there were separate pictures for dates and birthdays possible (see pictures)
Now I have only black dots for dates and birthdays. Can one change that again?

I've got the same problem (using the latest beta). Thanks for getting the calendar dot colours resolved all the same!

Wait, how was that resolved? I still have that problem with the black dots or whatever. Does anyone have any idea about how to fix it or what part of the code do I have to change? I don't mind doing it myself, but I'm not that good when it comes to writing code, so if someone can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it

I have used some time with this alignment bug.

It seems to be the caldot in the CSS is the troublemaker.
When the caldot is shown, everything goes out of alignment, but if it is removed it all fits perfectly.

The issue i have pinned it down to is:
display: block;

The block thingy, messes it up.

Here is the fix for the calendar alignment. It will be fixed in the next release but for the handy ppl who know how to edit it manually, use this:

CodeColon Select all

.calDot {
   display: block;
   width: 8px;
   height: 8px;
   background: #CCCCCC;
   -moz-border-radius: 4px;
   -webkit-border-radius: 4px;
   margin: 0px;
   padding: 0px;
   position: relative;
   float: left;
   left: -38px;
   top: 7px;
}
